The Park at OWA
The Park at OWA is the newest addition to the Alabama Gulf Coast. The amusement park features 21 state-of-the-art rides. General admission is $34.99 and there are discounts for children and seniors. It is free to enjoy the retail and dining area of OWA. Visit OWA!Â
Fort Morgan
Completed in 1834, Fort Morgan was active during four wars: the Spanish-American War, World Wars I and II, and most famously for the Civil War and The Battle of Mobile Bay where Union Admiral David Farragut âdamned the torpedoesâ and went âfull speed aheadâ. The fort is at the mouth of Mobile Bay 22 miles west along Fort Morgan Parkway in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Some scholars regard it as “one of the finest examples of military architecture in the New World.â Today explorers are able to take tours of the tunnels and enjoy reenactments. Visit Fort Morgan!
Gulf State Park Pier
You donât have to enjoy fishing to enjoy the Gulf State Park Pier! At 1540 feet long, this is the longest pier in the Gulf of Mexico. The pier is a great spot to see the Gulf Shores beaches from the water, take photos, sightsee, and of course FISH! Visit the Gulf State Park Pier!
Waterville USA
Waterville USA is a 20 – acre Water and Amusement Park in the heart of Gulf Shores, complete with water rides, a rollercoaster, mini golf, go-carts, an arcade and much more. Flora-Bama
The âWorld Famousâ Flora-Bama Lounge and Package is situated on the beach at the Alabama/Florida state line and is often referred to as the âLast American Roadhouse.â Rebuilt in mid 2012 after Hurricane Ivan, âthe Bamaâ is host to various events such as the Annual Interstate Mullet Toss. There are numerous parasailing companies in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach that would love the opportunity to pull you along our beautiful Gulf Coast Beaches.
